GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION (GDPR)
This Privacy Statement governs the way I collect and store your personal details, in-line with GDPR.
*Any personal information I collect and any handwritten notes pertaining to sessional content, are kept safe in a locked cabinet.
*My smart phone will have your stored contact number and your name is initialled in my contacts, so it is unidentifiable.
*All electronic enquiries are erased after 3 months. All texts and contact numbers are erased 3 months after the cessation of therapy.
*I hold your written information for up to 3 years following the cessation of therapy, to comply with Insurance policy terms. This is so I have a reference should you decide to return to therapy in the future. Records are disposed of as confidential waste.
HOW I MAY SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
*Supervision: I attend monthly supervision to ensure my practice remains safe and ethical. Session details and a client initial may be shared with my supervisor.
*Therapeutic Will: Your name and contact details will be shared with my Therapeutic Executor so that in the unlikely event of my sudden illness/death, you can be contacted should you still be in therapy with me. My Therapeutic Executor will sign a confidentiality agreement document.
*Emergencies: If your health is in jeopardy, I may share your details with a healthcare service such as your GP or Mental Health Crisis Team.
YOUR RIGHTS
*You have a right to ask for a copy of your personal information. You also have the right to ask me to amend or change any incorrect information about you.
*You have the right to ask me to erase any information that I hold about you. This includes your personal information that is no longer relevant to original purposes, or if you wish to withdraw consent. In all cases and when considering such requests, these rights are obligatory unless it’s information that I have a legal obligation to retain.
How we use your email and contact details
We use Transport Layer Security (TLS) to encrypt and protect email traffic. If your email service does not support TLS, you should be aware that any emails we send or receive may not be protected in transit.
We will also monitor any emails sent to us, including file attachments, for viruses or malicious software. Please be aware that you have a responsibility to ensure that any email you send is within the bounds of the law.
Should you choose to contact us using an email link, or our contact form none of the data that you supply will be stored by this website or passed to / be processed by any of the third party data processors.
Instead the data will be collated into an email and sent to us over the Transport Layer Security (TLS).
Should you choose not to consent to us using your contact details in any form submitted, please contact us by phone or direct email.
This website is hosted by 3rd party servers located in the EU which are compliant with EU legislation.
